The weather is changing with falling temperatures and gusty winds while the African dust makes its appearance again. In fact, the mercury will fall in some areas to lower levels than the season. At the same time, sporadic storms in the midday and afternoon hours in the western and northern continental areas, mainly in the mountains.
In detail, sparse clouds in places denser initially in the Ionian and gradually in the rest of the regions. Local rains will occur from midday in the western, central and northern continental areas and in the evening hours in the Ionian, the southern Peloponnese and Crete. Sporadic storms will occur from the midday hours mainly in the mountains of the western and northern country.
Winds will be variable 3 to 4 Beaufort and from noon southeast to south local 5 Beaufort.
The temperature will reach 25 to 28 and locally in the eastern continents 29 degrees Celsius.
MACEDONIA, THRACE
Weather: Sparse clouds, which will thicken in places from noon. Local rains and sporadic storms will occur in the midday and afternoon hours, mainly in the mountains. In the evening the phenomena will weaken and be limited to western Macedonia.
Winds: Variable 2 to 4 and from the evening in the east northeast 3 to 5 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 11 to 28 degrees Celsius. In western Macedonia it will be 2 to 3 degrees lower.
IONIAN ISLANDS, EPIROS, WEST STEREA, WEST PELOPONNISOS
Weather: Thin clouds, denser in the Ionian and quickly in the rest of the regions. Local rains and sporadic storms will occur from noon mainly in the highlands of Epirus and western Sterea and temporarily in the evening also in the Ionian and southern Peloponnese.
Winds: Variable 3 to 4 Beaufort and from the evening southeast with the same intensity.
Temperature: From 13 to 26 degrees Celsius. In the interior of Epirus 3 to 4 degrees lower.
EASTERN STEREA, EVIA, EASTERN PELOPONNISOS
Weather: Sparse clouds, which will thicken in places from midday and there may be localized rain in the mountains.
Winds: Southeast 3 to 4 and from noon locally 5 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 13 to 28 and locally up to 29 degrees Celsius.
CYCLADES, CRETE
Weather: Sparse clouds, which will thicken in places from midday and from the evening in Crete there will be local rains and possibly isolated storms.
Winds: From west directions 3 to 4, which from noon will turn to southeast up to 5 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 14 to 26 degrees Celsius.
EAST AEGEAN ISLANDS – DODECANISE
Weather: Generally clear with sparse clouds from noon, which will thicken in places from the evening in the south.
Winds: Variable 3 to 4 Beaufort and from the evening southeast with the same intensity.
Temperature: From 14 to 26 degrees Celsius.
THESSALY
Weather: Sparse clouds, which will thicken in places from midday and mainly in the mountains in the midday and afternoon hours there will be local rain and possibly isolated storms.
Winds: Variable 3 to 4 and from noon to the east from easterly directions with the same intensity.
Temperature: From 13 to 27 and locally up to 28 degrees Celsius.
ATTICA
Weather: Sparse clouds, which will thicken from the evening.
Winds: Southeast 3 to 4 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 15 to 26 degrees Celsius.
THESSALONIKI
Weather: Sparse clouds which will thicken in places from midday. Local rains and isolated storms will occur in the surrounding mountains in the midday and afternoon hours.
Winds: Fluctuating and in the afternoon and afternoon south southeast 3 to 4 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 13 to 25 degrees Celsius.
FORECAST FOR THURSDAY 09-05-2024
Intermittently increased clouds, with local rains in the west and south and gradually in the rest of the country. The temperature will drop mainly in the west, central and north and will reach 22 to 24 degrees, while in Crete 24 to 26 degrees Celsius.
FORECAST FOR FRIDAY 10-05-2024
In the west a few clouds temporarily increased, with local rain and isolated thunderstorms in the continental areas in the midday and afternoon hours. In the rest of the country, clouds with local rains and sporadic storms mainly in the south. In the evening the phenomena will weaken.
Winds will blow to the southeast from south directions 5 to 7 and gradually northwest to 6 Beaufort. In the rest of the areas, winds will blow from north directions 4 to 6, in the Aegean 6 to 7 and locally in the northern Aegean up to 8 Beaufort.
The temperature will drop in the south and slightly rise in the west.
FORECAST FOR SATURDAY 11-05-2024
Temporarily increased cloudiness with local rains mainly in the Ionian and continental areas except Thrace. Isolated storms will occur mainly in the western continental areas during the midday and evening hours.
Winds will blow in the west from southerly directions 3 to 4 and in the Ionian locally 5 Beaufort, in the east from northern directions 3 to 5 and in the Aegean 6 and locally 7 Beaufort.
The temperature will drop slightly in the west.

A few clouds temporarily increased inland in the midday and afternoon hours with local showers and possible isolated thunderstorms in the mountains.
The winds in the west will be variable 3 to 4 Beaufort and in the east they will blow from north directions 4 to 5 and in the Aegean up to 6 Beaufort.
The temperature will rise slightly.
