The weather today, Tuesday, August 13, is predicted to be particularly hot, with the mercury reaching 40 degrees Celsius. However, although there will be a temporary abatement of the winds, they will return during the afternoon hours.
The whole week will flow with high temperatures from August 15 and then the strong meltemi will make its appearance again.
Clear weather is forecast during Tuesday, with the sun dominating most areas of the country. Only at noon and in the afternoon in the north-western highlands, specifically in western Macedonia and Epirus, in mountainous parts, a few local clouds will develop.
The temperature will rise further, exceeding the normal temperatures for the season by 3-4 degrees, reaching 38-39 degrees at noon. In western Greece, the thermometer is expected to reach 40, about 6 degrees above the normal levels for the season. The heat will be more towards the west, with high temperatures even on the islands of the eastern Aegean.
The winds in the Ionian initially variable 2 – 4 Beaufort, in the afternoon they will turn to northerlies up to 5. In the Aegean the north winds will weaken for a while to 5 – 6 Beaufort.

The winds will blow in the west west northwest 3 to 4 and temporarily in the afternoon in the Ionian up to 5 Beaufort, in the east from the north directions 4 to 5 and in the Aegean locally 6 Beaufort.
