On Saturday, most Norwegians can jump in their swimwear, before most have to brace themselves for a new round of rain.
– It will be a nice start to the weekend, with good weather until Saturday afternoon, meteorologist on duty Kristin Seter informs NTB.
A high-pressure ridge is on its way from the west and will cover most of southern Norway up to Lofoten from Saturday morning. Temperatures will also rise.
– It can be a little bluff of proper heat, says Seter.
However, there may be a little more clouds in Trøndelag and on Helgeland.
Short-lived joy
But the joy is short-lived in the south. For already on Saturday night a new low pressure enters, and on Sunday you have to cover yourself with rain in Møre og Romsdal, Trøndelag and østafjells.
– It starts with rain in the western part of the country and moves slowly over the mountains and north, says Seter.

Farthest to the west, the clouds come in already in the middle of the day on Saturday, while the first raindrops can fall on Saturday night.
In northern Norway, it looks like the good weather will last throughout the weekend. On the other hand, the heat is replaced by cooler air in Finnmark.
– We are probably back to normal with the warmest in the south and the coldest in the north, says Seter.
Wet north
Throughout the week, it seems that it will also be wet in northern Norway.
But it will not be completely autumn weather, temperatures will stay above 15 degrees in many places, meteorologists report on Twitter.
