Offenbach (dpa / lrs) – In Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland, the week begins with showers and thunderstorms. The rain showers spread more and more over the course of Monday, as the German Weather Service (DWD) announced on Sunday in Offenbach. From midday, strong thunderstorms and stormy gusts could occur. Locally, there is a risk of severe weather due to the heavy rain, and hail is to be expected in isolated cases. In the evening, the thunderstorms from the west should subside. It will be muggy and warm with maximum values ​​between 23 and 26 degrees.

According to the DWD, it can be cloudy and at times clear on Tuesday. Occasional showers are possible, mostly it stays dry in the countries. The temperatures will rise to 24 to 27 degrees, in the higher mountains they will be around 22 degrees.
