Offenbach (dpa / lrs) – In the coming days, people in Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland can expect cool and changeable shower weather. On Wednesday there can be rain, sleet and thunderstorms, as the German Weather Service announced on Wednesday in Offenbach. During the day, squalls can reach speeds of up to 70 kilometers per hour. The wind eases towards the evening. It is very cool with maximum temperatures between nine and twelve degrees, at high altitudes six to eight degrees.

In the night of Thursday there can still be a few showers with lows between four and one degree, in the mountains down to minus one degree. On Thursday it will initially remain mostly dry. During the day, rain clouds can come in from the southwest. Occasionally there are thunderstorms at 7 degrees at high altitudes and 13 degrees on the Rhine.
