Leipzig (dpa / sa) – According to the German Weather Service, the bottom of the icy cold in Saxony-Anhalt has been passed. Nevertheless, the people in the country are still facing cold, but widespread “wonderfully sunny weather” in the coming days, the meteorologists announced on Saturday. The lows can still reach minus 20 degrees on Sunday night.
During the day on Sunday the temperatures should remain below freezing at minus 2 to minus 6 degrees. Despite the permafrost, the municipalities warn against stepping on ice surfaces. In the past week two girls broke into a body of water in Halle. Both were able to save themselves.
