Mainz / Saarbrücken (dpa / lrs) – On Easter Sunday, people in Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland can initially expect friendly weather before rain and clouds move over the region at the beginning of the week. As the German Meteorological Service (DWD) announced on Saturday, Sunday will initially start brightly to cloudy, but in the north-west it will be very cloudy. During the day the sky clears up in the northwest as well. It stays dry at temperatures between 11 and 15 degrees.

On Monday it will initially remain slightly cloudy in the south. From the northwest, clouds and heavy rain move over the region. According to the forecast, a few short sleet thunderstorms are also possible. The maximum temperature is between four and nine degrees. Clouds and showers also move over the federal states on Tuesday – at temperatures between four and seven degrees.
