Offenbach (dpa / lrs) – The people in Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland have to be prepared for changeable weather over the long weekend. In addition to sunny sections, there are also denser clouds. There will also be a few rain showers, as the German Weather Service (DWD) announced in Offenbach on Thursday. On Friday, the bridging day, the temperatures are between 18 and 22 degrees, at higher altitudes 16 to 19 degrees. After some local rain, the afternoon will remain dry with a mix of cumulus clouds and sunshine. In the north, a partly gusty refreshing wind is blowing.

On Saturday, the sun and clouds will alternate again in the sky, according to the DWD. Therefore, isolated rain showers must be expected, especially in the northern half. A light to moderate north-west wind will also blow. After lows of between 9 and 6 degrees at night, temperatures rise to 15 to 19 degrees during the day and 13 to 16 degrees at high altitudes. Sunday night will also be particularly cool again: temperatures in the Eifel will drop to two degrees.
