Offenbach (dpa / lrs) – The first week of May starts changeable in Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland. On Tuesday night, according to the forecast, rain will come from the northwest, while strong winds will blow from the southwest. Storm gusts are possible in the Eifel.

According to the DWD forecast, the wind will continue to pick up on Tuesday. Stormy gusts with wind speeds of up to 75 kilometers per hour are expected. In the mountains there can be heavy gusts of wind up to 100 kilometers per hour. In addition, thick clouds and rain showers are expected, temperatures can reach up to 15 degrees. According to the information, the wind eases a little towards the afternoon and the rain is also less. Showers and sunny sections alternate.

For Wednesday, the DWD meteorologists expect rain and sleet showers as well as short thunderstorms. The maximum values ​​are between 8 and 12 degrees.
