As reported by the German Weather Service (DWD) in Offenbach on Friday, the country only had 165 hours of sunshine last month. The sunniest region in Germany with around 235 hours of sunshine was Schleswig-Holstein. In addition, there was far too little precipitation in Thuringia, at 45 liters per square meter. The long-term average for the month is 58 liters.
