Offenbach (dpa / lhe) – Christmas Day in Hesse is most likely to be ideal for a walk. The second day of Christmas, Saturday, should then be mostly free of precipitation with heavy cloud cover. However, the wind gradually increases up to sometimes strong gusts.

On Sunday, the meteorologists expect prolonged rain, initially snowfall in the mountains, with up to ten centimeters of fresh snow in higher altitudes. Because of the further freshening wind, drifts are possible here. Squalls can occur in ridges. The snow line is likely to rise again on Sunday, the maximum temperatures are seven degrees, according to the DWD.
