Leipzig (dpa / sa) – Thursday will be a widespread stormy day. As a spokesman for the German Weather Service (DWD) announced, squalls can be expected in the first big storm of the year throughout the state that will last until the evening. The wind also brings rain with it: heavy showers are expected, especially from midday. According to the spokesman, local thunderstorms cannot be ruled out – these bring heavy gusts of wind with wind speeds of up to 100 km / h at lower altitudes. The temperatures are widely 10 to 13 degrees.

At night, the risk of thunderstorms decreases. The storm field continues to move northeast. The showers are also subsiding. At night it stays frost-free at five to three degrees.
