Offenbach (dpa / lrs) – The week in Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland starts with highs in the double-digit range. With a maximum of 24 degrees, Monday is expected to be mild but cloudy, according to the German Meteorological Service (DWD). In the northern highlands, the maximum is 18 degrees and sometimes there can be strong gusts. In the late afternoon and Tuesday night it should rain a lot in some areas. Heavy rain and light thunderstorms are possible in the northern half on Tuesday morning.
Tuesday will remain cloudy and rainy. In the north-west the sky can relax during the day, in the south showers and thunderstorms are possible all day. The maximum values drop to 16 degrees in the Hocheifel and 21 degrees in the Upper Rhine. Wednesday will then again be clear to cloudy and mostly rainless. Maximum temperatures continue to drop from 13 to 18 degrees.
