Offenbach (dpa / lnw) – At the beginning of the week it will be uncomfortable for the people in Hesse. The German Weather Service warns of thunderstorms with heavy rain. As a DWD spokeswoman announced, there should be showers and thunderstorms as well as wind gusts of up to 60 kilometers per hour in the morning. From midday, strong thunderstorms with heavy rain of 30 to 40 liters per square meter will move across the country from the southwest, sometimes accompanied by small-grain hail and gusts of wind of 70 to 80 kilometers per hour. There is a risk of severe weather locally. The temperatures are between 23 and 26 degrees.

During the night the thunderstorms slowly abate. On Tuesday the weather will be mostly changeable, there may be local showers and brief thunderstorms. The temperatures are between 21 and 28 degrees. Wednesday will be mostly sunny with highs between 26 and 30 degrees, moderate wind and only a few clouds.
