Offenbach (dpa / lhe) – Even if hurricane low “Zeynep” has left – it remains stormy in Hesse. According to the German Weather Service (DWD), the reason for this is the storm “Antonia”, the foothills of which can already be felt on Sunday. This low not only ensures strong winds, but also brings a lot of rain. “It’s going to be a real couch day,” said a DWD meteorologist in Offenbach on Saturday.
Especially in the congested areas of the low mountain ranges, there can be constant rain. On Monday night, the rain will turn to snow above 400 to 600 meters. For the mountains, the DWD again predicted heavy gusts of wind and hurricane-like gusts. According to the information, the precipitation will only subside on Tuesday night and the wind will also decrease.
