Even though we have come a bit into August, the summer is not quite over, we must believe the meteorologist.
In Trøndelag and in Western Norway, it will be both fine weather and up to 27 degrees on Friday and Saturday.
– The weekend’s weather winners are Trøndelag and Western Norway. But I do not want to exclude Northern Norway as a candidate, says state meteorologist Charalampos Sarchosidis to Dagbladet.
Western Norway gets temperatures of 25-26 degrees. But on Sunday there may be some rain.
– Some places escape, such as Møre og Romsdal and Sogn og Fjordane, says the meteorologist.
Who will be this weekend’s weather winner? There are several candidates ???? Trøndelag and parts of Western Norway get a lot of sun and heat, and take a tricky victory ahead of Østafjell on Friday, but are the clear winner on Saturday ???? We must also nominate Northern Norway which finally gets a taste of summer again ???????? pic.twitter.com/0tvOEomMkT
Møre og Romsdal will have summer temperatures of 23-24 degrees on Friday, and it will be 25 degrees on Saturday.
– It’s going to be a great weekend. When it comes to Sunday, it looks like Møre og Romsdal will release the showers in the big cities. There are inland areas that can get some rain showers, but Møre og Romsdal are among the counties that get the nicest weekend.
Father’s warnings have been sent out for forest fires for Trøndelag, Western Norway and Møre og Romsdal.
– It has been dry for quite some time and it continues for a few more days. Incredibly, it has been dry in Western Norway. People need to be aware of this. It takes little before there can be a fire, and people must be careful not to end up in such situations, says Sarchosidis.
In northern Norway, summer returns after an autumn week. According to the meteorologist, there will be some rain showers in the interior, but temperatures will rise to 20 and 25 degrees in some places.
These will be the warmest places in the north:
Mosjøen – here it will be 25 degrees.
Bodø will get 24 degrees.
Tromsø gets 22 degrees.
Kirkenes gets 23 degrees on Saturday.
– Saturday will be the warmest day in northern Norway. It looks like the summer temperatures will continue until next week. The 20s will be seen despite some rain showers next week. So it will not be completely cloudless, but it will at least be good temperatures. It will not be the autumnal rain we have had until now. Good asphalt smell, it will be, says the state meteorologist.

Gets unstable
Østafjell’s weather will be more unstable. Here one must expect rain showers in the interior.
– It will be varying weather. But in terms of temperature, it’s fine here too. Especially on Friday it is around 24 degrees in Oslo and several other places in Eastern Norway.
On Saturday, temperatures drop to 20-22 degrees.
The same applies to Sørlandet, which will get 20 degrees at the beginning of the weekend, but which will drop to 16-18 degrees.
– In southern Norway, other things happen. The reason why the north gets summer is a high pressure that moves towards the Barents Sea, and which protects the north from the low pressures. It makes room for them to find their way to southern Norway, the meteorologist explains.
Next week, the weather will be unstable throughout southern Norway.
The meteorologist points out that most of the rain comes from Østafjells.
– Next week we go into a week of low pressure activity, which especially gives afternoon showers. Then we can get showers with heavy rain for short periods and some thunder.
No danger warning for lightning has been issued so far. But the meteorologist does not rule out that this may occur.
– It is currently uncertain how powerful this will be. It is something we have to wait and see when it approaches.
He emphasizes that for Western Norway and Trøndelag, precipitation is good news, considering the abnormal drought that has been in the area.
The summer is thus not quite over. But according to the meteorologist’s forecasts, we are not going back to the 30s.
– As I said, it will not be cool in the future, but there will be no southern heat. It’s just to forget.
The extreme heat that is raging in Eastern Europe is not something that will move towards Norway. In Turkey and Greece it has been up to 50 degrees Celsius, which has led to a number of forest fires.
– It seems that the heat in Southern Europe is stagnant. It stays there. We will not see the 30s on the thermometer this or next week.
– Going forward, the days will be shorter, and then it will be less and less likely with such temperatures.
