Very high maximum temperatures were recorded on Sunday, March 31 in most of our country according to observations of the meteo.gr / National Observatory of Athens network of automatic weather stations.
The highest temperature was recorded at the meteorological station in Livadia and was equal to 29.8 degrees Celsius, breaking yesterday’s record for the month of March (since 2009 when the station has been operating).
Also noteworthy is the fact that 143 stations in the network exceeded 25 degrees Celsius.

The weather on Monday 1/4
Generally clear weather with sparse clouds at times. Visibility will be locally limited, mainly in the northern sea and coastal parts of the Aegean, where fog is likely to form in the morning and evening hours. Meteorological conditions favor the transport of African dust in small concentrations. The winds will blow from south directions 3 to 5 in the seas locally 6 and in the northern Ionian from the afternoon temporary 7 Beaufort. In the Dodecanese there will be northwest winds of 3 to 5 Beaufort. The temperature will rise slightly and fluctuate at high levels for the season. It will reach the islands and coastal areas of 25 to 27 degrees, in the rest of the country 27 to 29 and locally in the eastern mainland 30 to 31 degrees Celsius.
The weather on Tuesday 2/4
Scattered clouds in places denser in the north. Visibility will be locally limited in the morning hours in the northern sea and coastal sections. Meteorological conditions favor the transport of African dust with small concentrations, gradually the dust will be limited to the east. The winds will initially blow south southwest 4 to 6 and only in the Dodecanese will be northwest 3 to 5 Beaufort. From midday hours in the west, central, north and gradually in the south will blow west northwest 4 to 6 Beaufort. Although the temperature will drop slightly in the northwest, where it will reach 21 to 23 degrees, it will be maintained at high levels for the season and will locally reach 27 to 30 degrees Celsius in the eastern mainland and Crete.

Scattered clouds in places denser in the north. Winds will blow from north directions 3 to 5 and in the morning hours in the Aegean local 6 Beaufort. The temperature will fall.

Winds will blow from north directions 3 to 5 and gradually to Ionian 6 and locally to 7 Beaufort. The temperature in a small further drop.

Generally clear weather with temporary clouds in the midday and afternoon hours mainly in the mountains. Winds will blow from northerly directions to the west 3 to 5 and to the east 4 to 6 and gradually to the south local to 7 Beaufort. The temperature without appreciable change.
