Can you start the long weekend before Thursday – then do it.
–
– For northern Norway, it looks best on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday this week, with more unstable and rain showers during the weekend, says on-duty meteorologist Martin Granerød at the Meteorological Institute.
He especially sees a day that stands out very much.
– Wednesday this week will probably be the warmest day so far in May – and thus so far this year with between 14 and 15 degrees in Troms and long periods of sun in both Troms and Nordland, Granerød says.
Unstable weather
– But for many it is a long weekend to the weekend – where are we going?
– Yes, it depends on whether you want good or bad weather, laughs the meteorologist on duty – and states that he has no clear answer to give.
– There are fronts that spread all over the country both in the west and Østafjells. We do not see any stable high pressure anywhere, he says.
Towards the end of the period – ie this weekend there will be a northeasterly wind direction in the north.
– This often means that the coast of Finnmark for most of the precipitation, he says.
Uncertain weekend
– The day that stands out in northern Norway is Wednesday with long periods of sunshine. There can also be good periods both Tuesday and Thursday, but there will be more on and off, he says.
This weekend, rain is expected. But here’s a but. For the forecasts are not entirely certain.
– The weekend is somewhat uncertain, but there will probably be more precipitation – a type of weather that continues until 17 May. But this is uncertain, repeats meteorologist Martin Granerød at the Meteorological Institute.
