The National Service of Meteorology and Hydrology of Peru (senamhi) predicted that the minimum temperature in East Lima will be 16°C for today, Tuesday, January 17, 2022, in the summer season.

According to the entity of the Ministry of the Environment (Minam), the maximum temperature will be 27°C. In addition, he indicated that partly cloudy skies are expected in the early hours of the morning, changing to clear skies towards noon and partly cloudy skies at sunset.

In West Lima, the maximum temperature would reach 25°C, while the minimum would be 19°C. Cloudy skies are expected in the early hours of the morning, changing to skies with scattered clouds towards noon and cloudy skies in the afternoon.

What will summer 2022-2023 be like?

Senamhi indicated that Lima Oeste will present, during the 2022-2023 summer season, temperatures close to 20°C at night and 27°C during the day.

The entity explained that in the eastern part of Lima records will be reached between 19°C and 29°C. Also, temperature peaks exceeding 31°C are expected in the middle of the summer seasonwithout ruling out episodes of heat waves.

Senamhi warned that across the country levels of ultraviolet radiation will be recorded between “high” and “extremely high”. On the Peruvian coast, the monthly averages will oscillate between 7 and 12 approximately, with maximum values ​​between 8 and 14.
