Dr Mahmoud Al-Qayati, a member of the Meteorological Authority’s Media Center confirmed that the heavy rains witnessed by Alexandria were expected during this time of year, saying, “Not all of Alexandria governorate experienced heavy rains. , only the western regions and some neighborhoods, especially the neighborhood of Al-Ajami”.
And Dr Mahmoud Al-Qayati added, in a phone call to the program “From Egypt” with journalist Amr Khalil, on the CBC channel, that there has been great coordination between them and the authorities concerned, explaining that what is happening in Alexandria is the rain that starts from the autumn season and the depressions multiply in the winter season, but the meteorological depressions appear from the autumn, with a difference in temperatures and the proliferation of clouds.
He continued: “Some neighborhoods in Alexandria have been experiencing heavy rains, especially the Agamy region, and we have been affected by the depression, and the amount of rain may be slightly less tomorrow than today, and this is expected on Tuesday. depression will deepen, and by the end of the week we will see a dramatic improvement in the weather.”
