In the morning, code orange applies in Limburg and North Brabant for slipperiness due to heavy snowfall. Code yellow is in force in the rest of the country, the KNMI reports. Temperatures are around freezing.
In Limburg and North Brabant it will continue to snow heavily in the morning, about 5 to even 10 centimeters of (wet) snow can fall. As a result, there is a high chance of slipperiness, warns the KNMI.
It can also be locally slippery in the rest of the country until mid-morning. Code yellow is expected to be in effect until 9 a.m.
After a few hail or snow showers in the night, it remains dry during the day in the rest of the country. In the north, the sun will also show itself here and there. There is a weak to moderate wind from the east.
Later in the day the snow clears and the sun breaks through in more places. It will be a maximum of 4 degrees. In the evening it can snow in more places and there is a chance of slipperiness again because wet roads freeze.
