The KNMI has issued code yellow for Sunday night and morning. In Groningen, Friesland, Drenthe, Flevoland, Overijssel and Gelderland it can be locally slippery due to freezing of wet road sections. In the course of the morning the smoothness disappears.
After a cold night we will have to deal with a beautiful winter day on Sunday. The sun is shining brightly and it stays dry. Close to the sea there are some high veil clouds, but in most places the sun just shines through.
Temperatures rise to 5 or 6 degrees in the afternoon. It does feel colder due to a strong wind coming from the northeast.
