The day starts dry with some sun. For Monday afternoon, the KNMI issued a yellow code in the provinces of Limburg, North Brabant, Gelderland and Overijssel. The weather institute warns that some severe thunderstorms may occur in the late afternoon and early evening.
The warning applies from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. in Limburg and North Brabant, and later in the evening in Gelderland and Overijssel.
During the showers there is a chance of lightning, hail and gusts of wind. As a result, outdoor activities and traffic can be hindered.
In the northeast and east it is likely to remain dry until evening. Before the showers, it will be between 20 and 24 degrees. It will be less warm in the coming days and there will be a number of showers spread over the country.
