A few days after the annual heat record was broken in the Var, the south of France was hit by a new heat wave. This Thursday promises to be the most stifling day of the week.
Unlike the day before, no thunderstorms on the horizon: the sun should shine continuously on the department.
On the mercury side, the night was hot and we expect 23 to 25 degrees this morning, both in the interior and on the beaches.
At midday, Météo-France forecasts – under cover – values of up to 27 ° C in Toulon in Fréjus, 31 ° C in Lavandou, 32 ° C in Draguignan, 33 ° C in the Gapeau valley, 34 ° C in green Provence and up to 35 ° C in Brignoles.
That is to say temperatures up to 5 degrees above the normal for the season.
