Weather forecast, almost spring weekend with sun, mild temperatures but also some showers

After 3 weekends marred by bad weather, the North African anticyclone will push the disturbances away.

The experts on the website www.iLMeteo.it predict an increase in pressure up to around 1020 hPa and confirm the presence of dangerous cyclones, harbingers of bad weather, only in areas very far from Italy.

In fact, at the moment, a deep low pressure wanders over the skies of Scandinavia while the Icelandic Cyclone sends successive Atlantic disturbances with rain and lots of wind towards the British Isles.

Some thunderstorms on Saturday

Italy will be flat or almost calm: there will be some thunderstorms and local cloud accumulations, but there will be a prevalence of sunshine.

In detail, high pressure will be prevalent on this Friday in mid-March, although a humid flow in the lower layers, accompanied by Libeccio winds, will bring drizzle between Liguria and Tuscany and some cloud accumulation also in the North and in Sardinia. In the rest of Italy, the weather conditions will be spring-like.

The actual weekend will be good even if with some pitfalls: on Saturday, the transit of a disturbed front over the Balkans, distantly connected to the Scandinavian cyclone, will cause an increase in instability on the Adriatic side and locally in the south. During the day, quick showers of rain are not excluded, more likely close to the Apennine ridge and between Basilicata, Calabria and Puglia.

Good weather since Sunday

Sunday 17 March will, however, mark the first Sunday of full sunshine after three disturbed or very disturbed ones.

The new week will also see an ‘optimistic’ barometer with high pressure values ​​and prevailing sunshine: only on Tuesday 19 March will we be able to find some local and rapid showers.

These showers will still have to be confirmed but there is a good chance that high pressure will still accompany us at least until Palm Sunday.

Friday 15. In the north: increasing clouds, drizzle in Liguria. In the centre: increasingly cloudy sky, showers of rain over Tuscany. In the south: good weather.

Saturday 16. In the north: sun, some rain in the easternmost Triveneto. In the center: sun and intermittent rain. In the south: towards the evening rains in the Apennines.

Sunday 17. In the north: good weather, but fog in the morning on the plains. Middle: good weather. In the south: irregular clouds.

Trend: rather stable atmosphere also in the new week.
