Weather – Easter: Unsettled – Which areas will see local showers (Maps) – 2024-05-07 19:54:19

A progressive retreat of the instability, but without the lack of local rains, is predicted for Easter Sunday, May 5, based on the forecast data of meteo.gr/National Observatory of Athens for Cairo.

In more detail, initially local rains are expected in areas of the eastern mainland, in Evia and the Sporades, phenomena that will gradually stop. Rains and sporadic will occur in the Cyclades, Crete and the Dodecanese, phenomena that will gradually be limited to Crete. In the rest of the country, few clouds are expected which during the warm hours of the day will increase giving temporary rain or isolated storms in mountainous mainly continental parts.

Regarding the two major urban centers:

In Athens, it is possible that a few light rains will occur until the morning, mainly in the north and east of the prefecture, but gradually, improved weather will prevail with a few clouds.

Few clouds are expected in Thessaloniki, which will increase during the warm hours of the day, with the possibility of passing rain in the mountains.

The following forecast maps show the geographical distribution of the phenomena that are expected to occur during the early morning and during the midday/afternoon hours of the day.
