The Norwegian Meteorological Institute has issued a yellow warning.

– Heavy rain showers of 15-30 mm / h have been observed in Hordaland and they are expected to continue until early this afternoon. There are large local variations in intensity and quantity, and the weather can change quickly, they write on Yr.no.

It is reported that there is a danger of surface water in densely populated areas:

– Danger of local floods, stream and river changes, landslides and floods where the rain showers hit. Danger of closed roads and / or surface water by streams and rivers. Locally difficult driving conditions due to surface water and danger of aquaplaning.

Danger has been reported until 1300 on Sunday morning.

Pretty hefty

Meteorologist, Magnus Haukeland, says that the worst may be over in Bergen.

– The showers that hit us are quite heavy, and they are on their way east. In densely populated areas, there is a risk of water and floods. There are large local differences in where the showers hit, and whether they hit exposed places or not.

In the next hours and until early afternoon, the rain may weaken in intensity.

– It will mostly be a cloudy day, with changing cloud cover and rain from time to time.
