EMY emergency bulletin update: Which areas will be hit by bad weather with rain and storms
A worsening of the weather with heavy rains and storms is predicted in most of the country from the evening hours of Sunday until the early morning hours of Tuesday (27/2), according to an updated emergency bulletin of deterioration of the weather issued by the EMY.
The intense phenomena that will start from the west will quickly spread to the central and eastern mainland, the Cyclades and Crete and gradually to the islands of the eastern Aegean and the Dodecanese. The phenomena will be accompanied by strengthened southeasterly winds of intensity 7 and locally in the Ionian 8 Beaufort and possibly by hail.

A. Heavy rains and storms are forecast:
On Sunday (25-02-24)
a. From the evening hours to the Ionian Islands, the western and southern Peloponnese and western Crete.
On Monday (26-02-24)
a. From the early hours of the morning in central Macedonia, Thessaly (mainly in the east), eastern Sterea (temporarily including Attica), the Cyclades, Crete (mainly in the south), the Peloponnese and temporarily in Evia and the Sporades with gradual weakening of the phenomena from the afternoon.
b. From the midday hours, the islands of the eastern Aegean (from Chios and further south) and the Dodecanese will be affected.
On Tuesday (27-02-24)
a. The intense effects will be maintained in the southern regions of the Dodecanese and will gradually weaken by noon.

Levante Ferries: Today’s routes to and from Kyllini are cancelled, due to bad weather
The coming bad weather that is expected in the country brings about the cancellation of the ship itineraries.
In fact, Levante Ferries announced that there will be no sailings to and from the port of Kyllini.
Levante Ferries’ statement reads:
“We would like to inform you that on 25/02/2024 due to adverse weather conditions, the routes from Zakynthos to Kyllini at 18:30, from Poros to Kyllini at 19:00, from Kyllini to Zakynthos at 20:30 and from Kyllini to Poros at 21:15 will not be operated.
