This episode is remarkable for its unprecedented duration and intensity, with a record number of days where the maximum temperature does not fall below 35°C. This is particularly the case in the department of Gard.

In this context, the heat wave persists in the south-east, more particularly between the Rhone Valley, Provence and the Languedoc hinterland. The next nights are going to be tropical again. They precede very hot days, with temperatures still between 35 and 40°C.

For the south-east, it will be necessary to wait until Tuesday to see the temperatures drop, while remaining at the limit of the heat wave thresholds until the end of the week.
