Wearing a mask, closing bars in Dijon … new measures come into force on Monday in Côte d’Or – K6FM

The COVID-19 epidemic continues to grow in the Côte-d’Or department, where the incidence threshold reaches 80/100 000 inhabitants over 7 rolling days and a test positivity rate of 4%, and significantly in the Dijon metropolitan area where these rates reach 140/100 000 inhabitants over 7 rolling days, respectively (national alert threshold: 50/100 000) and 5.5% (national attention threshold: 5%).

In this context, Fabien SUDRY, prefect of the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region, prefect of the Côte d’Or, after consultation with the mayors and health authorities of the department, took new measures aimed at stemming the epidemic spread. Thus, given the health situation observed in recent days, the following measures will come into force as of Monday, September 21, 2020:

Wearing a mask will be compulsory in flea markets, garage sales, markets and funfairs in the department and, from 8 am to 6 pm, around schools and educational establishments;

Wearing a mask will be made compulsory in the city center of Beaune from 8 a.m. to midnight;

Refreshments and catering points will be prohibited in sports grounds and in their immediate surroundings when customers cannot be seated;

The late opening authorization (after 2:00 am) granted to several drinking establishments in the municipality of Dijon will be terminated;

It is reminded that customers cannot keep a standing station in bars and restaurants and that the managers of these establishments must ensure that they are seated;

So-called integration events (eg: integration weekends) organized on the occasion of the start of the school year and university are strictly prohibited.

Controls on compliance with barrier measures will be stepped up throughout the department, particularly in bars, cafes, restaurants and public transport.

In addition to these territorialized measures, the Minister of Solidarity and Health presented a strategy for prioritizing tests aimed at guaranteeing people with a medical prescription, showing symptoms of COVID-19, to contact subjects identified by the authorities. public, health professionals and similar working at home or in establishments to be able to carry out a test and obtain the results within short deadlines. People wishing to be tested but not falling into these categories will be treated after these priority audiences.

At the scale of the Dijon metropolitan area, this new strategy will be reflected in particular by the establishment of a priority system at the drive of the Dijon Bourgogne University Hospital.

The prefect and the director general of the Regional Health Agency monitor the evolution of the epidemic on a daily basis and ensure a graduated response in conjunction with local authorities and all stakeholders in the department. They appeal to everyone’s vigilance and a spirit of responsibility which, beyond these measures, condition our collective ability to control the epidemic.
