WeAreDevelopers World Congress 2022 brings together the developer community in Berlin

After a two-year break, the WeAreDevelopers World Congress is to take place again in person with a digital replacement format. From June 14th to 15th, 2022, the global developer community can meet in Berlin, this time the motto is Build – Deploy – Emerge – Connect. After the break caused by the pandemic, the connection is meant in a very concrete way. Up to 5000 developers and IT specialists from all over the world have the opportunity at the event to exchange ideas with like-minded people to discuss current and future trends.

During the pandemic, the organizers filled the gap with around 40 individual events, gained experience with the virtual live format and, according to their own statements, welcomed a total of around 50,000 guests. The last on-site conference in 2019 had around 8000 participants.

The program will be broad and will cover programming languages, modern web development, frameworks, DevOps, software architecture, cloud, artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain, testing and security. Soft skills and modern forms of cooperation (keyword “New Work”) also round off the portfolio. Around 200 speakers will give presentations on eight parallel stages, accompanied by workshops and offers from international partners. In addition to the conference program with classic lectures, some by well-known speakers and workshops, there are exhibition areas and space for networking and matchmaking.

“The personal meeting of the global developer and IT scene is a special experience,” says Sead Ahmetovic, explaining the motivation of the company, which he manages as CEO, to once again focus on being present. According to him, this is an urgent concern: “We have received numerous messages from our community that they missed this experience.”

Some well-known speakers have already confirmed their participation, npm co-founder Laurie Voss, Angular inventor Misko Hevery and security expert Tanya Janca will speak on the World Congress stages.
