(ANSA) – MILAN, APR 05 – Twelve people were arrested by State Police agents, coordinated by the Milan Prosecutor’s Office, who carried out a precautionary custody order against Italians, aged between 40 and 67, held responsible for possession of weapons and ammunition, possession and receiving of law enforcement uniforms of illicit origin and possession of drugs. The Flying Squad’s activity began after a robbery on 4 November 2021 against a Milanese goldsmith’s workshop in Via Assab: five of them, armed with guns and with their faces covered, had stolen finished and semi-finished items in gold and palladium, as well as other precious material, worth approximately one million euros. The policemen of the Property Crimes Section have identified a group of criminals suspected of being involved in the robbery and, during the investigation, the planning of another ‘hit’ to be carried out in the province of Varese emerged. During the searches, a Franchi 12 gauge pump-action shotgun, a Browning 22 caliber pistol, both stolen, a 7.65 Beretta pistol with abraded serial number and ammunition were seized. Also found was a kilo of cocaine, some uniforms and a badge of the Guardia di Finanza and uniforms of express couriers. The investigating judge ordered prison for ten, and house arrest for two.
