He holds a meeting with citizens of Saltillo and Torreón to publicize his proposal for Popular Health
Saltillo, Coahuila.- As part of his commitment to children in Coahuila, the candidate for governor of the Citizens’ Alliance for Security, Manolo Jiménez Salinas, signed a series of agreements with the international organization World Vision for the application of public policies that guarantee the protection and inclusion of children and adolescents in the state.
Accompanied by his wife Paola Rodríguez López, and in the framework of the celebration of Children’s Day, the PRI-PAN-PRD coalition candidate signed the agreement for his government to prioritize the protection of children’s rights in Coahuila.
“We reiterate our commitment to the greatest treasure that a city, a state and a country can have; girls, boys and adolescents. We will work as a team with World Vision Mexico, with international and national organizations, with academia, civil society organizations and the private initiative to make a transversal program to care for the rights of our children. For the present and future, we are going ahead, ”she said.
During the meeting in which representatives of civil society, social organizations, directors of educational institutions and mothers and fathers of family were also present, the director of World Vision in Mexico and Spain, Javier Ruiz Gaitán, highlighted the commitment that Jiménez Salinas has with the protection and guarantee of the rights of girls and boys.
Jiménez Salinas recalled that during his tenure as mayor of Saltillo he was the president of the Mexican Network of Child-Friendly Cities, where he had the opportunity to work permanently with more than 300 municipalities in the country to strengthen public policies focused on needs of the girls and boys of each city.
“The government agenda has to be cross-cutting, where projects and programs are developed in all areas to strengthen these sectors of the population together with citizens and public and private institutions; in our government we will develop a great program to strengthen family values in early childhood education centers and day care centers”, he pointed out.
Popular Health for our families
This weekend Manolo Jiménez held massive meetings with thousands of citizens of Torreón and Saltillo, where he highlighted the Popular Health program that he will develop during his administration as Governor of Coahuila.
He announced the creation of popular health centers within the colonies with medical care and mental health services.
In addition to a large investment in improving the infrastructure of state clinics and hospitals, as well as the creation of the popular health card to provide older adults, people with disabilities and vulnerable groups, free consultations, medicines and tests.
