“Clubs have to leave because the League (Pringles) don’t want more. There was the problem of Independiente with Ventana, the resignation of the president, of the secretary. Then the idea was born to see if we could go out and play in another league”.
Thus began the note with the president of Almaceneros, Ezequiel Franco, who commented that he had probed the Suárez and Laprida leagues, to decide to go and try his luck -for a year-, with the latter.
“We probed Suarez, he gave me the ok, but here we had to get permission. And when I go to talk to Lacal (President of the Laprida League), he told us that they didn’t want anything to do with the Pringles League, because there were some clubs that didn’t fit, and the infrastructure of some clubs does don’t go with some from there. But as a club they brought us to that championship.”
He indicated that they wanted a quick response in the Pringles League because from February 28 the Lapridens will play a contest in which 42 teams participate, Laprida, La Madrid, Olavarría, Azul, Bolívar and Daireaux.
“Playing him was a beautiful championship. I had conversations with Juan Ugalde and people close to Independiente, and they thought the idea of joining was a good one. This, added to the fact that Ventana had introduced Suarez to go, seemed like a good time to go. We got together with those of Independiente, we reached an agreement, but we needed permission from the League.
Franco said that at no time did the idea of disaffiliation arise, as well as the idea of Atlético Ventana, a club that presented it at the last league meeting.
“We didn’t want to disaffiliate, we wanted to try one year, let them give us permission, but stay affiliated with the league here. The idea was to try one year, following the affiliates of the Pringles League”.
Another plus for getting that special permit to go play in the region was the competition from subordinates.
“Today the school practically plays against three teams: Independiente, Alumni and Almaceneros have all categories, Alem is training, Pelota and Roca with two categories. The boys play as a triangle and have no competition.
“When I started school, we participated in the Lega Sud. And at 15 I was already in the First Division, because I had another brush, and today we don’t have it, the competition doesn’t give it to me. You have to make them play with different clubs, you have to find a way around it, open up,” she said.
“The football school has an occasional 40th birthday, do we want something better for the kids or do we continue in mediocrity? Independiente and Ventana thought like us, and I know that Laprida also invites him to Alumni. And when we ask the House, we ask so that any team in the Pringles League can go and play in the league they want. The idea was that, don’t break the League”.
On the down vote, he said: “They don’t move our club forward. There are clubs that don’t grow and don’t let you grow. Even if we don’t have the funds to travel, we will have to work to achieve them, it is to give the boys the possibility of having another friction, and in this way we will have another kick in the elderly, today we are losing it, and losing badly ”.
“It was an opportunity to try for a year, but once again we will continue in the mediocrity of the Pringles League” he continued.
“When something happens, people think you have to leave the League. If we see that the League has been at a standstill for 30-40 years, how will we get it back up? In the Assembly I asked if anyone believed that the League would improve and no one answered.
WHAT’S COMING FOR 2023
“We will start 2023 where you have to elect a president, a secretary, do you know when we will start the championship? I hope I’m wrong, but we will start in June. It’s not something unreasonable, it’s a reality that we are living day by day,” she said.
