The first vice-president of PNL, Rareș Bogdan, was questioned on Antena3 about his transition to a new “state of mind”, after last year he was the most zealous supporter and defender of Florin Cîțu. How come, less than six months later, after praising Cîțu so much, you came to the conclusion that Ciucă is better than him, Rareș Bogdan was questioned. He replied that simply after analyzing that the PNL has a problem, this decision was reached. “We went to change the leader without pain,” said Rareș Bogdan, emphasizing that he and his colleagues in the PNL leadership wanted not to be “hypocrites.”
“We did not want to be hypocritical, as Europe does today, which continues to finance Hitler’s Russian machinery by buying gas and imposing sanctions at the same time. There was no point in being hypocritical. If we saw that PNL has a problem, we decided it would be normal to solve this problem “, said Bogdan
He specified that the PNL has no other changes to make in the PNL leadership, at this moment, than to elect a new first vice-president in place of Lucian Bode (who took over the mandate of Secretary General after Dan Vîlceanu resigned) and a new vice-president on Defense issues, after Nicolae Ciucă took over the mandate of party president.
At the insistence of the moderator regarding the changes in the PNL, in a context of crisis, Rareș Bogdan answered that the liberals did not request the attention of the press on the internal issues of the party.
“We did not ask anyone to keep an eye on what is happening in the PNL,” Bogdan said, adding that the party did not stop governing last year when there was a pandemic and the PNL organized a Congress this year as well, when we have a war. on the border with Ukraine, and the PNL organized a Congress again.
“I assure you that we have always dealt with all the important issues, to manage the crisis at the border, because we have a war 600 km away, we also have the energy crisis that we have barely managed to weigh, it is possible to have a potential oil and grain crisis (…) But we can only ensure stability with the current majority in Parliament of over 70%, ”said Rareș Bogdan.
