Oppo entered the European market with its flexible phones at the beginning of February and is going directly against Samsung. It presented two models – Oppo Find N2 and Oppo Find N2 Flip, while the first mentioned will compete with the Z Fold, the second with the Z Flip, and we had the opportunity to test them for a few minutes at MWC.
Oppo Find N2 Flip as if he had just fallen out of Z Flip. But it has a larger external display, which unfortunately cannot be used to its full potential at the moment. You only get access to the notification center, the ability to take selfies with the rear camera and other little things. But it’s a shame that you can’t use it to send an e-mail, dictate a message or browse social networks.
The construction itself honestly didn’t impress us too much. It’s not as strong as the South Korean competition, and the hinge in particular is not as stiff. As for performance, the chipset takes care of it here MediaTek Dimensity 9000+, which is produced using 4nm technology and on the back there is a pair of sensors – one main with a resolution of 50 Mpx and 8 Mpx ultra-wide. Unfortunately, the phone will not be sold in the Czech Republic, and interested parties will have to order from Slovakia, where the phone costs EUR 1099, which is about 26,000 crowns.
Much better is the Oppo Find N2, which will compete with the Z Fold. Unlike it, however, it holds much better in the hands and, when closed, looks much more like a classic phone. It is not as big as the South Korean competition, but we personally found it more pleasant to use. You can also read about it in our review of the first generation.
In addition to the brightness of the display, Oppo also improved the ultra-wide sensor, which received a new resolution of 48 Mpx, the weight was reduced by more than 30 grams, and under the hood ticks the newer Snapdragon 8+ Gen1, instead of the 888. This novelty will probably also go to Europe, but the price has yet to be determined Oppo kept it to itself.
