In time, the story picks up where the first series ended. Viewers will watch the families of the exchanged boys Jakub and Tomáš as they cope with the situation. The families move in with each other, in the place where the Holcs, Tomáš’s family, lived until now.

“They will be living across from each other, which will generate a lot of situations where we can watch families. Sometimes these are very tense moments, other times humorous,” said Bobiňski.

There was no doubt that there would be a second series. Already when choosing the theme of the series, at the very beginning, the creators suspected that Cuckoos would be interesting. They bet on the theme and the cast.

“Even when we chose the topic, we thought it could be a hit. And then when we built the casting, that was another moment when we started to have high expectations. For example, Sabina Remundová was already so great at the castings that it really filled us with hope that it could work out. And the next moment was in the editing room when it all came together, when we saw it work. That we managed to fulfill our expectations. That was the moment when we thought that it could really work,” said Bobiňski.
