we take stock of the damage and the interventions

This Monday evening, the improvement in the weather made it possible to lift the orange vigilance in the Var departments of the Alpes-Maritimes. We take stock of the damage, the state of the roads and the interventions.

This Monday evening, the improvement in the weather made it possible to lift the orange vigilance in the Bouches-du-Rhône which had been downgraded from red to orange at 6 p.m., as well
than in four other departments of the South-East: Var, Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, Alpes-Maritimes and Vaucluse.

In the Alpes-Maritimes

The total precipitation remained lower than that announced this morning (40 mm to 60 mm in the west of the department from Cannes to Puget-Théniers).

The rains caused some minor flooding and several material traffic accidents occurred on the A8 motorway.
Under the storms, the wind caused trees to fall on the road networks and several roofs were damaged. Lightning caused some departures from
fire quickly treated by firefighters.

> Air traffic: Air traffic was disrupted from mid-afternoon until 8 p.m. causing delays. One flight was canceled, another diverted.
In total, at 8 p.m., 38 interventions related to this meteorological episode were carried out by the firefighters.
