We spoke to the man who collected 5.9 million to buy weapons for Ukraine: “Cheaper than having to go to war yourself” | News

It was the most remarkable crowdfunding ever: the one through which Lithuanian citizens raised money to buy weapons for Ukraine. An initiative of TV presenter Andrius Tapinas. “We’ve had enough for now,” he tells us. “But we are planning something big. Because it is cheaper to give money to Ukraine now, than to have to defend ourselves later.”
