While Rai prepares for the fourth season of The bastards of Pizzofalconewe recall a curious anecdote revealed by Carolina Crescentini.
Over the years, actress Carolina Crescentini has conquered everyone with her skill and professionalism. On the set, as she has declared many and many times, she has a lot of fun. But, for the projects set in Naples and southern Italy, you admitted that it’s impossible to resist the food, you always eat between takes and it’s all delicious.
We always eat on set
Crescentini, thinking about how many they combined on the set, still has a lot of fun, during the filming of the second season of The bastards of Pizzofalcone:
The Bastards all look serious but it’s not true: in reality we were a gang of madmen! Life on set is a crazy life: we wake up at 5 in the morning to shoot during the day, or we wake up in the afternoon to shoot at night. It’s a wonderfully crazy life, we live in RVs around town. In the morning at the makeup already from 5.30 there was a soundtrack in the background of the Neapolitan neomelodici, an incredible world that I did not know and that I have learned to love. Whoever arrived brought babas, then they moved on to fried pizza. At lunchtime the catering, which on sets is never so rich, instead offered sausages and broccoli, pasta, potatoes and provola and all kinds of Neapolitan specialties. I protested: “Guys, I’m not going into clothes anymore!”.
On Naples, the Crescentini, currently engaged in the Rai fiction filmed in Naples Sea Outshe declared that it entered her heart:
I love Naples. Yes, it’s a world apart. They offer you food all the time. For the filming of this second series I rented a small house to cook something in the evening and because after months you feel like, even trivially, a nice minestrone. Instead I immediately made friends with the whole neighborhood and on the way home they made me taste anything, they invited me to eat. For some poetic things, Naples is stuck in the 50s.
In the fiction it is the magistrate Laura Piras
In the TV series he is the magistrate who follows all the events of the Bastards. With a strong and decisive character, the character opens his heart to Lojacono after a great disappointment. The actress also stated that in real life she and her character may even be good friends.
We talked a lot about the character of Laura, a loner, who with Lojacono reopens her heart to someone for the first time, after a great pain. But if Laura were our friend we would tell her: be careful, you are with a man who already has an older daughter and is unable to take the responsibility of introducing her to you…
One thing that is not in the TV series and which is beautiful in de Giovanni’s books are those internal monologues of the characters. Monologues that serve to understand what is behind it. Wonderful and often incorrect monologues. But after all, who isn’t being incorrect from time to time?».
