Boards. On Sunday morning, December 17th, the Bretten-Stromberger Lions invite supporters to the Bretten Film World. The film adaptation of Robert Seethaler’s novel “A Whole Life” (FSK 12) will be shown at 11:00 a.m. “A literary sensation, an international bestseller, translated into 40 languages. A universal story about the question of what happiness is and what unhappiness is and how both find their place in our lives,” was how “title thesen temperamente” recently judged the book German-Austrian feature film with Stefan Gorski, August Zirner, Julia Franz Richter, Andreas Lust and Robert Stadlober.
From the cinema to the Christmas market
The Bretten-Stromberg Lions Club has been inviting people to a cinema matinee in December for several years now as a way to say thank you for the diverse support of companies, clubs, institutions and private individuals in the activities of the non-profit service club. Film Sunday always takes place on the same weekend as the Lions mulled wine sale at the Bretten Christmas market. From Friday lunchtime, the Lions will again be serving their traditional “warmer”, which they recently bottled again with the Plag winery from Kürnbach. Admission to the cinema opens at 10:30 a.m. for a small drink. All sponsors and helpers from the club are invited, and are welcome to be accompanied – as long as there are places available. A reservation by email is therefore required: sekretaer@lc-bretten-stromberg.de
