Apart from phones, gadgets, IoT and other gadgets, there will also be a car here and there at MWC in Barcelona. This year, the Lucid company headed to Catalonia with its Air Dream Edition model, which will compete with other premium electric cars, such as the Tesla Model S or the Porsche Taycan. We have also known the European prices for some time.
The Lucid Air Dream Edition comes in two versions – Range a Performance, always with all-wheel drive. We can already tell from the markings which one will go better and which one you will go further with.
But you won’t make a mistake either way. In the case of the Range, you can drive up to 837 km on a single charge (on 19″ wheels) and you will get completely meaningless 933 hp (696 kW). For the more powerful Performance, the range is up to 758 km and if necessary you will get from it 1,111 horses. Such performance means a shot from 0 to 100 in approx 2.5 secondswhich will most likely make you sick.
Lucid Air Dream Edition appealed to us with its design, especially the front side with the line of lights looks futuristic. The interior is of course made of premium materials and dominates it several different displayswhether we’re talking about the center console or the cockpit.
Editor’s note
Electromobility and mobile technology are closely related. We are not only the World of Android, but also the World of Tomorrow. We enjoy the latest technology and are fans of similar projects, which is why Lucid intrigued us enough to inform you about it.
The Lucid Air Dream Performance is More Than a Fast EV – It’s a Great Luxury Car (POV First Drive)
However, Lucid will pay a lot for a premium car, and it is the most expensive of all three mentioned car manufacturers. The Lucid Air Dream Edition model, which you can see in the photos, is sold in Europe at a price of EUR 218,000, i.e. about CZK 5,150,000. So you can save money even when you buy a Porsche Taycan Turbo S, for which the German car manufacturer costs CZK 4,915,000 in the Czech Republic. Musk’s Tesla Model S Plaid then costs approximately CZK 3,300,000.
Would you prefer a Porsche or Tesla to a Lucid?
