BGN 10 is the amount drivers save on petrol by completely filling a 40-litre tank, calculated “Telegraf”.

The calculation was made on the basis of the average price of fuel at the moment, which is 2.64 levs per litre.

If they fill up their car with petrol, it will cost BGN 105.60 at an average price for the country of BGN 2.64 per litre. After deducting the discount, they will pay BGN 95.50.

If their car runs on diesel, which currently costs BGN 3.04/l, the bill for 40 liters is BGN 121.60. But with the discount they will pay BGN 111.60. The bonus is small, but people got used to it, users commented.

It was introduced due to the fuel price increase to support individuals only on 9 July with the entry into force of the updated Bulgarian State Budget Law for 2022.

At that time, the average price of A95 was BGN 3.41/l and diesel was BGN 3.56/l. BGN 150 million was initially allocated to finance the measure, then another BGN 38 million until the end of the year.
