With the collaboration of the Catalan Society of Rheumatology (SCT) we have participated in the second edition of the “Clinical Sessions” organized by the Medicine students of the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), on March 2 and 3.
Dr. Héctor Corominas, head of the Rheumatology Service at the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau in Barcelona, together with Drs. Berta Magallanes, Hye Park and César Díaz-Torné, from this same Service, have been in charge of bringing Rheumatology closer to Medicine students, through several sessions of an injection workshop attended by more than 100 students. At the end of the activity, the students have been surprised by the possibilities of diagnosis and treatment and the closeness to the patient that the specialty of Rheumatology implies, as well as the great development that it has experienced in recent years, both in research and in specific therapies.
This activity is part of SER’s commitment to medical students, to bring them closer to the specialty and make it visible.
