Hello! I am writing to you as your devoted reader with a huge request! It is about the removal of 16 trees on “Warshava” and “Bogomil” streets due to the eternal renovation of the stadium. I read in the media that there is an order from the mayor of “Iztochen” for the felling, I also know that Mr. Zico has been very vocal about this stadium, he is supposedly a former athlete, but maybe he should have stayed that way.
We ordinary people are very tired of living in concrete and asphalt and trees being cut down mercilessly. I’m 29 years old, almost 30, and for as long as I can remember, the trees behind the stadium have been there. They created coziness in the neighborhood and kept us shaded in summer.
Dimitrov or Stoyanov planted these linden trees, and now they are going to remove them? As a media outlet, you can make this inquiry. How much vegetation has already been destroyed by those in power, how much more will we tolerate? If not this week, the next felling will begin, the municipality will lie that the trees are not suitable, because PIMK still has to complete the project.
But let them know that we the people remember and elections are coming soon. The current rulers have no chance. Every case that is against the people is remembered, dear mayors! Our time will come when we will overthrow you, but the sad thing is that until that holy moment comes, our beautiful city will turn into one big concrete area without air and greenery.
