“We only received 25,000 CFA from the Guinean Consul” – Radio Espace Guinée

Expelled from Senegal following a patrol, they are more than 70 Guineans gathered in the youth center in Kédougou, on the Guinean-Senegalese border. These Guinean nationals were apprehended by the authorities of this country during a patrol, we learned. At the border, their situation is going from bad to worse.

One of the expelled, Alseny Gassama, recounts how they were expelled and the mess they currently find themselves in.

“My parents are all Guinean. We worked here for more than two years, all our savings that we earned, they (authorities) came overnight to take us. Some of us had papers and others not… But we rely on our state. If he doesn’t help us, it will be complicated. We did not go out to demonstrate even less for banditry ”says this national, in a video posted on social networks.

After their expulsion, the Guinean state regrouped them with the aim of bringing them back to the fold. Since then, they have been waiting in the galley.

“We are more than 70 people here (in Kédougou, editor’s note), the consul only sent us 25,000 CFA. Even the price of our lunch is not enough for us. May the authorities, the people of Guinea, help us,” continues Gassama.

If some nationals claim that they had all their papers before being repatriated, Amadou Bella Diallo, he had no papers on him.

“When we were repatriated, I didn’t have my papers… today, we are angry with our Guinean authorities, because they know that we are here. We only received 25,000 CFA. We came to Senegal to work”

While waiting for their repatriation, these nationals will continue to take their troubles patiently.
