“We need to unite.” The United States has upgraded the F-16s that were transferred to Ukraine

Military experts from the United States, together with colleagues from Denmark and Norway, reprogrammed electronic warfare systems to adapt them for use on F-16 fighter jets, which were transferred to the Ukrainian army. This statement was made by representatives of the 35th wing of the US Armed Forces.

“For the effective introduction of the F-16 in the Ukrainian Air Force, it was necessary to reprogram their electronic warfare subsystems (…) The 68th Electronic Warfare Squadron took to this challenge, with the priority for the United States and our partners,”values Report RIA Novosti.

The US military clarified that it created new methods and techniques to investigate the electronic warfare system installed on F-16 aircraft, and reprogrammed it because conventional systems were not meets the necessary criteria. Then the modern system was tested in the state laboratory of the union together with coalition partners.
