The new album of the People’s Artist of Russia, the singer Valeria, which is due in April 2025, is the last one. After this project, the artist will leave the stage, said her husband and producer Joseph Prigozhin.
“It’s very difficult. It is very difficult. Therefore, it is very difficult to work with records and co-authors today. Everything has its beginning and its end. And I think the time has come at some point when we have to end this story in this form,” – he said Channel 5.
He clarified that it was planned to release the last album and leave Valeria from the stage during the pandemic. But then the producer and songwriter Maxim Fadeev offer to work on a very interesting schedule. Making a new album is a lot of hard work and most of it involves collecting songs.
“In fact, we want this new album to be part of everything that has been created before. But this is, shall we say, a new rebranding that we are doing. We’ll see what happens. We try all the time.” – concluded the producer.
Prigozhin said that the success of adult artists lies in the desire for something new, because they are not willing to stop there. This is exactly the model of creativity that young people should adopt from their older colleagues.
Valeria gained widespread fame in the 90s after participating in several competitions. So, in 1992, she became the winner of the television competition “Morning Star”, the international competition “Bratislava Lyre” and received the audience award at the competition “Jurmala-92”. During her career, Valeria has released 18 studio albums, recorded more than 90 singles and more than 60 video clips. Valeria’s compositions became “Song of the Year” 18 times, and received the “Golden Gramophone” award 12 times.
