SV Werder Bremen – TSG Hoffenheim 1: 2 (0: 0)
Ole Werner (Werder Bremen coach): “It was an even game. We conceded two incredibly cheap goals. We had chances from the back but when you’re 2-0 down it’s going to be difficult. We weren’t the worse team.”
Pellegrino Matarazzo (Trainer TSG Hoffenheim): “Of course I’m happy about our second win in a row. But we’re far from done and have a very important game against Schalke next week, which we also want to win. I’m happy, but I don’t feel any relief yet.”
1. FC Cologne – Borussia Monchengladbach 0-0
Steffen Baumgart (Coach 1. FC Cologne): “We were very active and tried to play forward. We didn’t have that last bit of luck that you need. It was important that we played to win until the last minute. We wouldn’t have been undeserved winners, but we have to go along Live the 0-0. We have to start scoring goals, we will work on that.”
Daniel Farke (Borussia Monchengladbach coach): “We saw a deserved draw, that’s proven by all static values. Cologne were better in the first half and put more pressure on them, we had our best actions in the second half and showed a reaction. If you get a point away from home, that’s it okay. It wasn’t a prime cut of football.”
FC Bayern Munich – Borussia Dortmund 4:2
Thomas Tuchel (Bayern Munich coach): “I was very nervous today. The game was a bit too open for me, too wild. We want to have more dominance and control in the opposing half. It was too sloppy in the second half, but the will , working against the ball was always there. That will give us peace, confidence and a desire to continue to improve. There are a lot of positive things and at the same time there is still a lot of room for improvement.”
Edin Terzic (Trainer Borussia Dortmund): “Gregor Kobel is the reason why we came here as leaders. Of course he’s sorry, but it’s important to me that we classify it correctly. It took us too long to shake off the setbacks. Then we’ll still have it again tried in the second half, but it’s the way it is: We have to get on the plane very disappointed. That hurts. Now it’s a matter of processing that, then we’ll look at the table tomorrow: It’s still just two points behind the leaders.”
VfL Wolfsburg – FC Augsburg 2:2
Niko Kovac (Coach VfL Wolfsburg): “The game didn’t start well for us. We then had many, many chances, come into half-time and we don’t know how we can be 2-0 down. Then to win games like that, you have to take crystal-clear chances. Moral are we were the winners because we came back from a 2-0 deficit, the team showed a lot of character. I’m not entirely happy with the result either. I think we could have done more here today.”
Enrico Maassen (FC Augsburg coach): “You can see week after week that the team is developing well. In order for us to get triple points more often, you have to be clean and clear in the crucial areas. We were that up front and used our chances efficiently. Back in the two moments “Not. It’s not a good feeling with the point today. The other way around, given the chances that Wolfsburg had and the quality of this team, you have to say that a point is okay. We have one more point, which we got anyway helps and try to find something positive.”
RB Leipzig – FSV Mainz 05 0: 3
Marco Rose (Trainer RB Leipzig): “A very well-deserved victory for Mainz. We had big plans and didn’t bring much of that onto the pitch. I don’t want to deny my team’s will, but we were inferior to Mainz in almost every respect. We’re in a phase where maybe the head comes in and we have some work to do.”
Bo Svensson (Coach FSV Mainz 05): “I think we played a great game. I’m very proud of my team, we implemented our plan well and boldly. Kudos to my team. The belief that something is possible here was the decisive factor.”
“You can’t play a much better first half at Union”
Union Berlin – VfB Stuttgart 3:0
Urs Fischer (Trainer Union Berlin): “Stuttgart did that well in the first half. We contributed a lot there. No rhythm, no preparedness: we’re lucky not to be behind. In the first 20, 25 minutes of the second half we saw that face distinguishes us. A lot of opponents find it difficult against us. It was a disappointing and weak first half and then a clear improvement in the second half. A happy win overall.”
Bruno Labbadia (coach VfB Stuttgart): “You can’t play a much better first half at Union. Our problem is that we didn’t score and then conceded the goal out of nowhere. We conceded goals too easily. When you’re up front, luck is on your side . With us it’s the other way around. It’s disappointing.”
Schalke 04 – Bayer Leverkusen 0:3
Thomas Reis (Schalke 04 coach): “It’s an absolutely deserved win for Leverkusen. We had a few chances to take the lead in the first half and defended with all our might. Bayer’s quality was better, we have to accept that and work through it. This series is over now, the goal is to start a new one next week.”
Xabi Alonso (Trainer Bayer Leverkusen): “The game was tough for us, but we worked well. The first half was tight, in the second we changed a bit. The first goal was very important to give us a bit more space and confidence. We were happy. ”
SC Freiburg – Hertha BSC 1:1
Christian Streich (Coach SC Freiburg): “We concede a goal that should never happen like that. It annoys me like crazy. We let the win lie. The result sucks, it pisses me off.”
Sandro Schwarz (Hertha BSC coach): “I think we put in a very decent performance away from home. We were there right from the start. We are satisfied with our performance, it was a good step.”

Eintracht Frankfurt – VfL Bochum 1:1
Oliver Glasner (Eintracht Frankfurt coach): “We’re disappointed with the result. But I’m very, very happy with the way we played football, how we combined, how many chances we created. I’m very confident that with performances like this we’ll soon get three points again .”
Thomas Letsch (coach VfL Bochum): “We played against a strong Eintracht, who put pressure on us from the first minute. We didn’t get into the game ourselves. We took the lead after a throw-in, got the penalty immediately, where you can see the quality of Kolo Muani. Then it was a battle over time for 60 minutes. A lucky point for sure. But for the passion that the team put into it, it’s certainly deserved.”
