We managed to create a new, very durable material

Scientists at Durham University and the Fraunhofer Institute have created a new synthetic material that even a sophisticated angle grinder cannot cut.

The material, which has been called Proteus, is characterized by an innovative structure consisting of ceramic balls suspended inside a flexible aluminum structure. Although it has only 15 percent. compared to steel, it is tough enough to completely blunt even advanced angle grinders.

According to scientists, Proteus can be used as a material to create modern protective equipment and construction materials. A lot of freedom in its formation can also be used to create smaller things, such as door locks. Such a solution would be much more effective to destroy in the case of brutal methods of intrusion.
